Many of us have fully or partially retired from our lifelong careers or professions, and we are finding that we have the time and freedom to take our lives in new directions. We emphasize in our small groups that God does have a plan for each of us that matches up with our gifts, talents, and passions and we encourage each other to seek out this plan. We are men who represent many different Christian denominations, and this small group fellowship is meant to come alongside and support the ministry we receive in our own churches. Purpose does not end at retirement. Our mission is to seek a closer relationship with Jesus Christ and try to understand and follow his plan for the rest of our lives. We also seek a deeper relationship with each other through Christian fellowship. Second Half gives men a safe environment in which to share concerns and issues that older men usually have. The Second Half Newsletter allows the men in our four chapters to better keep in touch with each other and to read how God is alive and working in our lives.
