Ruth Marie Byrne is the Director of Development at Needle's Eye and oversees fundraising, publicity and advertising, community awareness and special events.  Ruth Marie is a graduate of the University of Richmond, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and worked as an Admissions Officer for the past four years. 

Ruth Marie grew up in Montgomery, Alabama and has called Richmond her home since 2002.  With a heart for local and international missions, Ruth Marie is an active member of the community.  She attends City Church of Richmond (formerly Franklin Street Community), where she serves as a member of the Finance Committee, and was a member of the 2009 class at the Richmond Christian Leadership Institute.  She has also served on the Uganda Ministries Action Committee, where she helped secure funding for the Canaan Children's Home, an orphanage in Uganda.
