Women's Ministries

Women's Ministry LogoThe NEM Women’s Ministry encourages women in the workplace to connect with other women in deep and meaningful ways as they explore the impact of faith in Jesus Christ in every aspect of their lives.

Strength, passion, creativity, loyalty, compassion, wisdom, collaboration-- women bring so many abilities and aptitudes to the marketplace. How do we use those talents wisely? How do we balance our roles as career women, daughters, wives, mothers and friends? And how does a relationship with God affect who we are in all of those roles?

Needle’s Eye offers marketplace women of all ages a place to find answers to those questions. Whether you're just beginning to explore Christianity or have been studying Jesus for years, we provide opportunities to explore the connections between Christianity and life in the marketplace. For more information, contact Jennifer Parham, Director of Women’s Ministry.

Small Group Bible Studies

Joining a women's small group is a great way to meet and connect with other women who are seeking to grow spiritually. Small Groups consist of four to 12 women who meet weekly to encourage one another as they study a book or passage of Scripture, share lives and pray for one another. There are lunch-time and evening groups that meet year-round, as well as short-term studies that meet for a season.

Recent short-term evening studies include DVD-based studies by Beth Moore, Priscilla Shirer, Jennifer Rothschild, and Angela Thomas.

Special Events
The women of Needle’s Eye periodically gather for events such as weekend retreats, seminars, and city-wide women's gatherings.

In Esther: It's Tough Being a Woman, Beth Moore explores God's providence and the hope He offers women facing challenges in our society.  Esther, though a queen, lived as an outsider in a hostile environment.  Her life offers an example for today's woman who finds it difficult to live in someone else's shadow, to see physical beauty take precedence over character, to face life-altering decisions, to move from self-preservation to brave determination, and to see mean-spirited people prevail.

Weekly format:  small group discussion (1 hour) followed by Beth Moore video (1 hour).  We will have 5 weekly homework assignments (each assignment requires 30-45 minutes).  Workbooks will be provided for you at our first meeting on September 16.
